As a museum, we have the responsibility to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. That’s why the museum will close temporarily and this until further notice. All our planned activities will be cancelled. Visitors that bought a ticket, will be informed personally. We will contact you with more details as soon as possible.

The reading room will remain open. We will ensure that you can visit the reading room safely, taking the current corona measures into account.

The memory of Flemish literature
The Letterenhuis is the largest literature archive in Flanders. Its mission is to safeguard the literary heritage. You can visit the reading room to consult the extensive collection for research. In the museum there is a permanent exhibition about 200 years of literature in Flanders.
